The protests against ICE have been on the rise recently as more people head to the streets to try and prevent ICE from kidnapping people. ICE’s reaction was instant as they started deploying more people and using force to disperse the crowd. Now, many places all over America look like they are a war zone. One place that looked like this is Paramount, California. You can see how Protesters there are using shopping carts as barricades. You can also hear the cameraman filming the chaos saying, “There’s police everywhere. There is tear gas being thrown. Fireworks. Everything you can think of man.”
Aside from the comments and the shopping carts, you can see how there is a fire in the middle of the road. It looks like several items were set on fire which caused smoke to cover the street. Just when you think that nothing else would happen, you are proved wrong. A defiant protester heads toward the fire with the American flag and throws it there without hesitation. As soon as he does this, photographers move closer to film the flag burning. It seems like this wasn’t something to be against since one of the protesters yelled then, “F**k yeah.”
People Reacting to the California Protester Burning the American Flag
Almost everyone enjoyed the fact that the California protester burned the flag. They even encouraged him. One person passionately wrote, “Down with the oligarchy!” Someone else agreed as they said, “Death to the oligarchy.” Since the area looked terrible, there was one person who said, “Looks like a war zone.” Some also believed that Fox News would be quick to cover the situation. “Damn this is gunna be all over Fox News,” one wrote. Aside from this, there was someone who wanted Trump to have a statue so that they could bring it down. “Trump should build a statue so that we can tear it down Saddam style,” they commented.
While a lot of people agreed with burning the American flag, some people saw that it shouldn’t have happened. “Burning the flag of the country you live in? That will really gather support for your cause,” one person wrote. Another one said, “Right cuz this makes things so much better.” Few people treated the matter lightly as one said, “ICEcalation. There, coined.” Another person commented on the shopping carts and wrote, “Cart Narcs is not going to like where you left that shopping cart.” Despite this, there was someone who was a little bit fired up as they said, “The Trump administration is ENCOURAGING lawlessness…When masked ICE agents behave in a LAWLESS manner…all bets are off…the public is under no obligation to follow the rules…you want ANARCHY, you got it. RESIST!” I mean, burning the American flag is definitely one way to resist.
