Regarding anime games, we usually get fighting titles or action RPGs. Demon Slayer is getting a Mario Party-like game. While it is something we didn’t expect, we are quite happy after seeing the first trailer. Despite the dark tone the series has most of the time, there’s room for some lighthearted moments, and this new game brings them perfectly without abandoning some of the action-packed scenes.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mezase! Saikyou Taishi! is a Mario Party-like Game Coming in 2024

Aniplex revealed an upcoming Mario Party-like game called Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mezase! Saikyou Taishi! This title has no exact release date, but it should arrive in 2024 on Nintendo Switch in Japan. From the trailer, we can see this game takes a lot of inspiration from games like Mario Party. We have a board game-like stage where characters throw some dice to see how much they’ll move. After a certain number of turns, some minigames look fun and bring many things manga and anime fans will recognize.

It is nice to see another co-op party game arriving on Nintendo Switch, especially for those who are a bit tired of Mario and friends dominating the genre. This Demon Slayer Mario Party-like game could be a way to bring more people to the genre. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see how this game holds once it launches. This type of game needs a variety of minigames to keep players hooked and constant updates to make gamers return. All that remains to see is if the developers plan on releasing this title in the West. Given how big the fan base for this series is, sticking to an Eastern release wouldn’t be the best idea.
