These Subjugators are no joke

Now, we’ve all been trying to figure out how to get an Exotic Class Item in Destiny 2, and Bungie’s gone ahead and made sure the process was pretty difficult. I mean, come on. Exotic Class Items give us the opportunity to use an Exotic that has two Exotic Perks combined rather than just one. If anyone could just finish a quick quest to grab one right away without any effort, Destiny would probably just become too easy and entirely lose its appeal. Let’s take a look at how to get Exotic Class Items in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Complete Overthrow

The first thing you need to do to unlock the Dual Destiny mission that rewards your first Exotic Class Item is to complete Overthrow in The Landing, The Blooming, and The Impasse. All three Overthrows must be completed without heading back to Orbit in between. However, after you complete each Overthrow, follow the steps below before you head on to the next location, as it’s timed.

Defeat the Taken Wizards

After you complete Overthrow, a Taken Wizard will spawn within each region, but you must kill them before the five-minute timer to start the next Overthrow begins in each area.

  • The Landing – Near the caves to the right of the Landing Zone, near the Lost Sector entrance.
  • The Blooming – Area at the back of the map that has a Taken Eye over it when there is an Overthrow event.
  • The Impasse – The area just to the right of the Lost Sector entrance.

Defeat Subjugators

After you’ve completed each Overthrow and the Taken Wizards, you’ll see a big green light appear above The Refraction. Head there and fight two Subjugators. Each of them will let you take their health down about halfway, then disappear and leave an orb for you to pick up and dunk in an area behind you. Keep in mind there is a timer on this portion too, so try to be speedy.

Now, the Dual Destiny mission will appear on your map as a node in the Pale Heart destination.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
