One of the best, long-ranged burst-sustained DPS weapons in Destiny 2 is Father’s Sins, a Legendary Sniper Rifle with perks that can outperform many other guns within its category. Introduced in the Witch Queen, Father’s Sins is a Throne World weapon that can fire 140 rounds per minute and offers an excellent scope. While its sleek design alone is likely to allure many players, the utility, handling, and rate-of-fire are bound to make it a highly sought-after Sniper Rifle. However, acquiring Father’s Sins is mainly dependent on RNG, meaning that Destiny 2 fans might have to grind a bit to unlock this legendary gun.

To unlock the Father’s Sins Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2, players must participate in the 6-player Wellspring, one of the new activities added in the Witch Queen. The Wellspring features different weapon rewards on a daily rotation. In other words, participants must play during the days the Father’s Sins is available as a potential reward.

Destiny 2 fans can only access the Wellspring once they have beaten the main campaign, after which Fynch will offer a quest related to the new activity. Suppose players wish Father’s Sins or other Legendary weapons to drop at a higher rate. In this case, Wellspring participants must unlock the Master difficulty mode of the activity. This mode becomes available once players reach around Level 18 and attain a Power Level of 1,580.

After Master Wellspring is unlocked, players will have a much higher chance of acquiring the Father’s Sins Sniper Rifle in Destiny 2. Alternatively, those who prefer to run the default difficulty of the Wellspring will likely receive the Sniper drop after several attempts.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
