The new Prismatic subclass in Destiny 2: The Final Shape is unlike anything we’ve seen as Guardians before, but it’s definitely a step up from the usual subclass mechanics we’ve been using. With Prismatic you get to use Aspects, Abilities, and even Fragments from a combination of all the other subclasses, but unlocking them can be pretty tricky. Let’s take a look at how to unlock each of the Prismatic Aspects in Destiny 2.

Starting Aspects

When you start The Final Shape campaign, each class will have two Aspects right away when they start. This means that once you complete the Transmigration mission, you’ll be able to use a couple of the new Aspects without having to grind to unlock them.

ClassAspects
WarlockFeed the Void – Defeat a target with a Void ability to activate Devour. Your Devour effects are improved, restoring additional health and grenade energy.
Bleak Watcher – Hold your grenade button to convert your grenade into a Stasis turret that fires slowing projectiles at nearby targets.
HunterWinter’s Shroud – Dodging slows nearby targets. Slowing targets briefly increases your class ability regeneration.
Stylish Executioner – Defeating a target affected by any elemental debuff grants invisibility and Truesight. After performing a Stylish Execution, your next melee attack while invisible weakens targets.
TitanKnockout – Critically wounding a target or breaking their shield infuses your melee attacks with Arc energy and increases your melee range and damage for a short time. Defeating targets with melee attacks makes you amplified and restores a portion of your health. Defeating more powerful combatants increases the amount of health restored.
Diamond Lance – Shatter or defeat targets with abilities or Stasis weapons to create a Stasis lance. Using your shoot button, you can throw the lance to freeze targets on impact, or using your melee button, you can slam the lance to the ground to freeze targets in a small area.

Campaign Aspects

Each class has one brand new Aspect that is unlocked during a campaign mission. That said, if you’re planning on completing the campaign, these Aspects are entirely story-related so you will be able to get them.

ClassAspect
WarlockHellion – Activate your class ability to summon a Solar mortar that lobs flaming projectiles at distant targets. Targets damaged by the mortar are scorched.
HunterAscension – While airborne, consume your class ability energy to summon your Arc Staff, propelling yourself upward and creating a burst of energy around you that amplifies allies and jolts targets.
TitanUnbreakable – Hold your grenade button to summon a Void shield and block a portion of incoming damage, gradually draining your grenade energy and grating an overshield over time. Releasing the grenade input or running out of energy releases a frontal blast from your shield that deals increased damage based on how much damage was blocked. Combatants that come in contact with your shield are temporarily disoriented.

Lost in the Light Aspects

Completing the Lost in the Light side quest will grant each class a Light Aspect that is collected from a Prismatic Chest at the end of the required missions.

ClassAspect
WarlockLightning Surge – While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to blink forward, calling down lightning strikes that jolt targets and you rematerialize.
HunterGunpowder Gamble – Defeat targets with abilities, elemental debuff damage, or Solar weapons to charge up an improvised Solar explosive.
TitanConsecration – While sliding, activate your charged melee ability to launch a wave of Solar energy forward, damaging and scorching targets in front of you as you leap into the air. While airborne, activate your charged melee again to slam to the ground and create a second larger wave of damaging Solar energy. If the wave hits a scorched target, they ignite.

Found in the Dark Aspects

Much like the Lost in the Light quest, the Found in the Dark side quest gives you the one remaining Aspect, which will be a Darkness Aspect.

ClassAspect
WarlockWeaver’s Call – Activate your class ability to weave three Threadlings and deploy any Threadlings you have perched. Targets defeated by Strang damage have a chance to generate a perched Threadling.
HunterThreaded Specter – Activating your class ability leaves behind a decoy woven from Strand matter that draws the attention of nearby combatants. After taking significant damage or when combatants approach, the decoy detonates, dealing damage and releasing Threadlings that seek out and attack nearby foes.
TitanDrengr’s Lash – Activate your Barricade ability to create a ripple in reality that travels forward along the ground, suspending and damaging the targets it hits. Activate Thruster to create an unstable knot of Strang matter that detonates after a short delay, suspending and damaging targets.

She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things โ€œgeekโ€. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you canโ€™t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
