This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Every season, Destiny 2 seems to throw a new armor set at us that’s somehow even better than the last. In the Season of the Wish, that Seasonal armor set just so happens to be the Wyrmguard Armor. The Wyrnguard Armor comes with a unique Armor Perk, Ascendant Protector. Not only does it increase your gained Spirit of Riven vendor reputation, but it also stacks up to 12%, which is pretty great if you’re trying to grind out Seasonal Vendor Reputation. On top of it all, the armor really just looks awesome. My personal favorite is the Warlock set, but I might be just a bit biased about that.

Obtaining the beautiful Wyrmguard Armor set is quite simple. Since it’s a seasonal armor set, it only makes sense that you would be able to get your hands on it by getting seasonal rewards. You can get seasonal rewards in a number of ways.

First, you can complete the seasonal activities. During the Season of the Witch, there are two different activities that can be completed in order to gain items from the seasonal selection, including Wish Engrams, Season of the Wish armor, and Season of the Wish weapons. Both Riven’s Lair and The Coil can be relatively time-consuming, but the rewards they drop are well worth it.

Additionally, you could spend some time focusing and cracking open Wish Engrams. Wish Engrams only drop the items unique to the Season of the Wish, and you really don’t know what you’re going to get out of them. However, if you take them into Spirit’s Anchor to speak with Riven. Since she is the seasonal vendor this season, you can focus your engrams there.

Finally, you can simply level up your Season of the Wish Season Pass. Throughout the ranks on the Season Pass, you will see various pieces of two different armor sets, as well as all of the seasonal weapons for the Season of the Wish. Increasing your rank can be done, simply by playing the game and participating in seasonal activities.

Season of the Wish Armor Perk

Every season, the armor set that drops has a unique armor perk that makes it a bit better to wear during that specific season. During the Season of the Wish, the Wyrmguard Armor drops with the Ascendant Protector armor perk.

  • Ascendant Protector
    • Grants 3% additional Spirit of Riven vendor reputation from all sources. For each piece of armor equipped with this perk, this bonus increases to a maximum of 12% (4 pieces).

Destiny 2 is now available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
