By this time in Destiny 2, we’ve had quite a few more weapons added than we previously had access to, with quite a few being Stasis weapons. However, with so many new weapons all over the place, both through new seasons, episodes, and The Final Shape, how are you supposed to know which ones are the best without a whole bunch of trial and error? We can help out with that. Let’s take a look at the top 10 Stasis weapons in Destiny 2 since The Final Shape.
Eyasluna
How To Get – Be completing the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon.
God Roll – Fastdraw HCS, Ricochet Rounds, Rangefinder, Headstone, Reload Speed Masterwork, Targeting Adjuster Mod.
Eyasluna, unlike most weapons, is great in both PvP and PvE game modes and can be quite useful. It has a high impact stat, great aim assistance, and decent Stability, making it perfect for picking off enemies or even taking down Guardians. With Rangefinder to give you increased range and zoom, Headstone spawns a Stasis crystal when you get precision final blows.
Conditional Finality
How To Get – By completing the Root of Nightmares Raid.
Exotic Perks – Split Decision – Dual barrels split into Stasis and Solar damage. Paracausal Pellets – Landing nearly all Stasis pellets will freeze targets; landing nearly all Solar pellets will ignite targets.
Conditional Finality is easily one of the best Stasis weapons in Destiny 2. Not only does it deal dual damage types because of the Split Decision Exotic perk, but it also either freezes or ignites targets, depending on which damage type ammunition landed a shot.
Ager’s Scepter
How To Get – Collect it from the Exotic Archive at the Tower.
Catalyst – Will Given Form – [Alternate Weapon Action]: Drain Super energy, overflowing the magazine and empowering the beam with bonus damage and the ability to slow and freeze targets until the magazine or Super energy runs out, or the weapon is stowed. Can only be activated when Super energy is full.
Ager’s Scepter allows you to use your Super energy to gain additional damage and slow and freeze enemies. Along with the Ager’s Call and Rega’s Refrain Exotic perks, final blows will generate a slowing burst around the target and Stasis final blows will transfer ammo into the mag from reserves.
Disparity
How To Get – Completing Season of the Seraph activities.
God Roll – Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Rapid Hit, Desperado, Ambush, Stability Masterwork, Backup Mag Mod.
By itself, Disparity is pretty good in both PvE and PvP settings with high range and balanced stats. However, with the Rapid Hit and Desperado basic traits, you get increased stability and reload speed from rapid precision hits, and increased fire rate if you reload after a precision final blow. Combined with the Ambush Origin trait, you’ll also have increased range, handling, and damage during the opening moments of a fight.
Verglas Curve
How To Get – Season Pass award or Exotic Archive at the Tower.
Catalyst – Shiver Quiver – Freezing or slowing a target grants this weapon faster draw speed for a short period of time.
Combat bows are already pretty overpowered in Destiny 2, but Verglas Curve takes it to a new level with the Hail Barrage and Hail Storm Exotic perks. These perks together allow you to use Stasis arrows after final blows with your next hip-fire shot firing them all in a single volley, along with frozen combatants and slow Guardians with direct Stasis arrow shots that also create Stasis crystals.
New Purpose
How To Get – Complete the Duality Dungeon.
God Roll – Arrowhead Brake, Ricochet Rounds, Perpetual Motion, Desperado, Bitterspite, Range Masterwork, Backup Mag Mod.
While New Purpose might be pretty tricky to get your hands on, it’s a great weapon to take into PvP matches. While in motion, New Purpose gains additional stability, handling and reload speed, and after you get a precision final blow, you’ll gain an increased rate of fire when you reload.
Psi Hermetic V
How To Get – From Legendary Engrams or through faction rank-up packages.
God Roll – Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Outlaw, Headseeker, Wild Card.
With the god roll available for Psi Hermetic V, you really can’t go wrong. The Outlaw basic trait allows you to greatly decrease reload times by getting precision kills, and the Headseeker trait increases your precision damage and aim assist after landing body shots. Along with those traits, the Wild Card Origin trait allows you to create experimental submunitions at your target’s location when you get final blows.
Bold Endings
How To Get – By exploring the Pale Heart.
God Roll – Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Headstone, Dragonfly, Dealer’s Choice, Reload Speed Masterwork, Backup Mag Mod.
Bold Endings, with its base stats, is already pretty impressive with near max impact and high aim assistance. However, when you pair it with the Headstone, Dragonfly, and Dealer’s Choice traits, it’s even better. Headstone spawns a Stasis crystal at the site of your target’s location after precision final blows while Dragonfly creates an elemental damage explosion after a precision kill. Additionally, Dealer’s Choice gives you Super energy when you get a final blow with Bold Endings. That said, you’ll have loads of things happening every time you get a precision final blow.
Liminal Vigil
How To Get – By completing the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon.
God Roll – Corkscrew Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Headstone, Desperado, Tex Balanced Stock, Range Masterwork, Backup Mag Mod.
Once again, Desperado/Headstone is definitely the way to go for this weapons, granting increased fire rate and spawning a Stasis crystal where your target was killed after a precision final blow and reload. Though, with the Tex Balanced Stock Origin trait, you also get increased reload speed, handling, and movement speed while aiming down sights after you’ve damaged targets while hip-firing.
Thoughtless
How To Get – Season 16 Season Pass Reward
God Roll – Fluted Barrel, Appended Mag, Overflow, Firing Line, Land Tank, Handling Masterwork, Backup Map Mod.
Thoughtless is easily one of the best PvE Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2, and for a good reason. It’s got relatively balanced stats and a great selection of traits to roll. Overflow allows your weapon to automatically be loaded beyond capacity when you pick up Special or Heavy ammo, while Firing Line gives you increased precision damage when you’re near at least two allies, and Land Tank increased your Resilience and damage resistance from combatants after you get Final Blows.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape is now available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.
