Although early on in Season 5 of Diablo 4, you’ll interact with dungeons that have Burning Aether and Spoils of Hell chests, the Infernal Horde feature isn’t unlocked until after the quest’ Eyes of the Enemy.’ It isn’t something you do shortly after starting the season questline, which you’ll learn why soon enough. In fact, Eyes of the Enemy isn’t unlocked until you’ve reached World Tier 3, and that’s a whole thing in and of itself so get to leveling up fast!
Before you can get Eyes of the Enemy of the ground, you’ll need to unlock World Tier 3, so let’s get that settled first.
- Be on World Tier 2
- Complete Cathedral of Light capstone dungeon, located in Kyovashad
- Travel to Zarbinzet
Though the Cathedral of Light is marked as a level 50+ dungeon, if you’ve been leveling via Helltides and opening Helltide chests along the way, you’ll have pretty good gear by level 35 to 40 and will have no problem completing it.
Once you switch over to World Tier 3, you’ll get Eyes of the Enemy right away. Go to Zarbinzet and speak with Captain Cireska. Looks like you’ll be bringing the hammer down on Triune Heretics and rescuing Locran at the same time, which should be easy enough.
Afterwards, you’ll be sent to Rakkhat, defeat whatever demons come through the demonic gateway there, then enter the Foul Undercrypts. There are bits of books and scrolls that you have to examine that’ll help you find the way.
You’ll find the Black Tomb on the inside, so it’s like a dungeon within a dungeon. From there, it’s just a short walk for Locran’s Talisman and Sankekur’s (icky) body parts, which you’ll need to complete a ritual and gain access to the Edge of the Abyss. Season 5’s Eyes of the Enemy comes to an end here in Diablo 4, granting you access to the Infernal Horde.
