‘Diabolical’ Oregon FedEx Driver Slaps Customer Door with ‘We Missed You’ Sticker Then Runs Away While Recipient Was Standing Right There ‘Waiting for Them To Knock’

A little patience wouldn’t hurt these delivery drivers…

Meeting quotas for service work is important, there’s no question, but doing so at the cost of client satisfaction is just wrong and is a nasty look for the company. That said, a slew of online users are fired up, sharing their strong disdain for FedEx, particularly its delivery drivers’ behavior. One Redditor shared a post of a photo of her deliveryman leaving a “We Missed You” sticker at her house in Oregon while she was literally standing at the door waiting for the package. Needless to say, she was furious.

“I’m sick of FedEx,” she groaned. “I was standing at the door waiting for them to knock.” While there’s no way to know whether she was actually waiting directly at her home entrance for the delivery to arrive, the comment section’s reaction proves that what she said is 100% accurate of many FedEx drivers. “I have actually seen drivers come up to the door holding the ‘we missed you’ sticker and get flustered when I am standing there waiting for the package,” remarks one commenter, thousands upvoting in agreement. “Seems to me like they care more about perfect times and quotas than they do about actually just delivering people’s packages,” added another. “Diabolical,” says a third.

Some people even recall how some FedEx drivers threatened their recipients with returning the package if they weren’t at the ready to get their mail after one or two attempts. While the grand majority criticize these drivers for this sort of careless and anti-customer behavior, a few commenters share a bit of sympathy, putting the blame on management. “I partially blame FedEx admin for this,” one individual says, pointing out how drivers sometimes don’t have time for bathroom breaks or even drinking water. “It’s unbelievable hard to reach their quotas and timing…It’s terrible conditions all in all.”

In the end, it is the courier’s job to put in the effort to deliver the mail to recipients successfully. But Reddit isn’t wrong either; FedEx management does hold a lot of responsibility in making working conditions so bad that the drivers couldn’t care less at this point just to reach their quotas. Something needs to change in FedEx’s system, for sure.
