Two Washington women who appear to be on opposite ends of the Karen spectrum came face-to-face recently. One woman, a mother with two young children, is seen wearing a pair of jeans and a black sweater. Meanwhile, she loses her temper when an older woman confronts her about how she is allowing her children to act while they are in the breakfast area of a hotel, and things get heated.
In a video shared to TikTok by user @mamarosa1977, it looks like the two women are ready to square off, with neither wanting to back down. When the clip starts, the two Washington Karens are already bickering. The older one, sitting at a table with her husband and wearing a white shirt, appears to be unhappy about the noise and behavior from the two small kids as they ready to eat their breakfast as a family.
As the mother defends her kids, the three children can be seen running around and yelling behind her. The older couple also complains that the kids were heard stomping around while they were in their room as well. The younger mother claims that there is no way that the older Karen could know whether what they heard was her kids, and soon enough, the older man gets involved in the tense discussion.

“I did not have them stomping and jumping up and down,” the mother claims. After a bit more back and forth, the older man finally says, “Get on your way,” and waves the younger woman off.
Finally, the younger woman’s husband gets involved as well, trying to settle things down. Eventually, the older woman tells the younger mom that she raised her kids to behave. “Well I hope you raised them better, because I taught my kids not to be [expletive],” she says.
“They’re kids. They’re 2, 4, and 8,” she says. “We do the best we can,” she adds. “You don’t care and you don’t understand.”
In the comment section of the video, the internet seemed to be divided about the situation. Some sympathized with the mother, knowing that parenting multiple children can be difficult. Others were on the side of the older couple, claiming that a shared public space should be respected.
“Karen vs Karen is diabolical,” one person commented. “This is a conversation that never needed to happen,” said another. “I’m so sick of people thinking that just because they have kids. They get an excuse for everything. I’ve raised two kids and mine were never doing all this. Nobody wants to hear your kids screaming,” a third person chimed in.
Whether it was the generation gap or just two Karens butting heads, the Washington woman certainly opened up a debate online.
