On Friday, March 8, the “Yes, And?” singer dropped her highly-anticipated record, Eternal Sunshine. It’s her first full-length project since her divorce from Dalton Gomez. Naturally, fans can’t help but speculate Grande snuck a few lyrics about him in her songs. So, what did she have to say about her ex-husband? Right away, Grande teases her album will touch on topics about love in her album’s opening track, “intro (end of the world).” In the song, she questions her feelings toward a partner with the lyrics:

After singing about heartbreak in “bye” and “don’t wanna break up again,” Grande seemingly hints at the reason behind her and Gomez’s split in “eternal sunshine.” During the track, she implies that a past lover constantly lied to her and even cheated on her.

After news broke in July 2023 that she and Gomez had separated, rumors spread that she had moved on with Ethan Slater. The two have been spotted together several times over the past few months. They’re even set to appear on the big screen together when Wicked premieres in theaters in November.
