Needless to say, “no amount of money is worth being treated less than human,” says a commenter on Reddit’s r/hiphopheads, referring to recent news of another one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ heinous acts. Alongside the freakishly massive orgies and accounts of human trafficking, it’s been revealed that the R&B artist paid $6 million worth of hush money to keep a male sex worker quiet — about being abused and treated like a “sex slave.”
The male escort was initially hired by Diddy to have sex with him and his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, per Radar Online. Cassie is the same ex who was violently assaulted by the rapper in the resurfaced security footage at a hotel in California. Naturally, “sex work does not automatically equal consent,” and the 6$ million was used to settle Diddy’s “misconduct and trafficking“ with the sex worker, among other illicit acts. Nevertheless, this immense amount of hush money didn’t keep the individual from coming out clean in court about what happened.
Diddy’s NDA Is Meaningless When Human Trafficking and Sexual Misconduct Are Involved
Of course, this whole hush-money situation is just another heap of stink in the giant barrel of worms that everyone involved with Diddy, the rapper himself included, is wading through or sinking into. However, the report brought up a notable topic of discussion on r/hiphopheads, with the top comment concerning this sex worker’s worker coming forward being: “A reminder to people that NDAs are meaningless when the law is being broken.”
The following reply states in agreement, “If there is a civil lawsuit and a witness is compelled to testify, the witness can’t decline due to an NDA.” While NDAs do have their use in business workings, such as marketing, production, or networking, one user claims, “NDAs allow rich people to f*** us over with lawful protection,” such is the case with Diddy telling his abused “sex slave” to keep quiet.
According to Radar Online, a source connected to the case defends Diddy by claiming: “How can someone allege to be a victim if they shook someone down and ended up profiting millions of dollars?” However, this argument goes back to what one user in the Subreddit stated: “Just because someone is an escort” does not mean “they were asking for it.” Again, “no amount of money is worth being treated less than human.”
