All businesses should be respected, but especially small ones that started from nothing. Unfortunately, not everyone would do this. One example is that of a disgusting California group that was filmed vandalizing a small business’s store. The business posted the security footage on their TikTok page, and it showed exactly what the group of friends did. In the video, one of them started punching the security camera repeatedly while smiling. The rest of the group was watching and rather than stopping him, they smiled at what was happening. The same guy didn’t stop at that because he did something that was even more disgusting. He started urinating in front of the store.
The California business wrote on top of their video, “Public urination and vandalism is NOT a joke.” They have got a point. The group didn’t look sober so the business also wrote that being drunk isn’t an excuse. There was some kind of karma, though, because a hat worn by a girl with the group ended up falling right where her friend was urinating. She still picked it up which was as disgusting as their actions. Another satisfying part in the video was the fact that the same guy who punched the camera hurt his hand in the end. That’s one way to receive consequences. Thankfully, the business added an update that they managed to identify the suspects. They confronted them privately which was nice of them because no one would have blamed them if they exposed the group’s identities.
People Reacting to the Disgusting California Group’s Behavior
A lot of people were disturbed by what the California group did. Since all of them were Asians, one woman wrote, “As an Asian. That’s disappointing.” Asian people were actually quite disappointed by what they saw which made people start a debate in the comments on whether the group was from the Philippines or Vietnam. Aside from this, one person wrote that they would never associate themselves with friends who act like this. “If they are my friends, I’ll walk away and that’ll be the last time I’ll hangout with them,” they wrote. Another person said, “Those are not good friends to hang out with. Will lead each other to ruin.”
When the California business shared that they identified the group, people were disappointed that they weren’t going to expose their names. “Nope, they need to be publicly identified for future partners, friends, and work. Let it be out there. Some mistakes are permanent,” one person wrote. Another person said, “They won’t learn their lesson, and others won’t either. Don’t be soft on them or more copy cats will do it. We need to bring back public shaming.” There was one woman who appreciated how the business handled the situation. “Imma follow & check you guys out. Handling this with grace yet caution & professionally too! You guys can easily share their at but are choosing to be respectful,” she said. Hopefully, the group won’t do this again.
