As we saw on the previous roadmap, 2023 is bound to be a big year for Disney Dreamlight Valley. Today, the first part of the upcoming updates starts. Anyone who owns Disney Dreamlight Valley will notice that Olaf and Mirabel have made their way to the valley. This is amazing as these characters come from beloved franchises that many players were expecting. However, in a more gloomy picture, Disney Dreamlight Valley now has some monetization too. While it isn’t something mandatory to progress the game, the new store offers things that players won’t find anywhere else.
Disney Dreamlight Valley adds monetization in the shape of a new premium store
We all know that the game is still in Early Access and that many players are enjoying this Animal Crossing-like title. Since the game isn’t free, many weren’t expecting Gameloft to add monetization to Disney Dreamlight Valley. Well, we were wrong. They have added a new premium store in this update that will let players buy some cosmetics. This isn’t too bad as it isn’t a pay-to-win aspect, but it is sad to see this arriving in a game that has a price tag already.

How To Get The Toy Train in Disney Dreamlight Valley
While many are focusing on Olaf and Mirabel arriving at Disney Dreamlight Valley, some wonder how far the monetization tactics will go. We’ve seen many games adding some horrible tactics to get money out of people. One big example is Diablo Immortal, which has a lot of ways for you to spend your money. While we don’t think the monetization in Disney Dreamlight Valley will reach those heights, it is better to be prepared. But, in the meantime, you can enjoy everything that this update brings. Olaf and Mirabel are just a couple of the characters that the game has planned for this year. We are getting Simba and probably a classic princess to the game sometime in the near future as well. So, if you want to ignore the new premium store, there’s a lot more to do in the game that won’t require you to spend money.
