This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Fiber and Rope are two Refined Materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley that players will need for crafting a wide variety of recipes. For example, Fiber is used for making decorative Furniture like Beach Torches, Baskets, Fences, Trellises, Sacks, and Hay Bales. These are just some of the blueprints available early on, but as fans progress further in the main campaign of Disney Dreamlight Valley, they will have access to a plethora of items that require Fiber and Rope. Accordingly, it is essential that fans know how to get the resource used for crafting Fiber and Rope in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Crafting Fiber and Rope With Seaweed In Disney Dreamlight Valley

First, the primary resource used for crafting Fiber in Disney Dreamlight Valley is Seaweed, slimy green algae from the sea. Players can gain access to the sea via Dazzle Beach, a biome that becomes available once fans have completed Merlin’s quest “Friendship is Everything.”

After arriving on the sandy shores of Dazzle Beach, Disney Dreamlight Valley fans will find clumps of Seaweed scattered along the coast near the water. The kelp is washed up by the tide and requires some time to respawn once it’s been collected. However, suppose players wish to farm Seaweed indefinitely without waiting for the resource to reappear. In that case, they can turn to fishing, an activity that involves using the Fishing Rod, a tool acquired during the quest “The Royal Tools.”

Typically when fishing, players aim for circles of bubbles in the water. These bubbles indicate that one or more fish are swimming beneath the surface in that spot. On the other hand, if players cast their line into water that contains no bubbles, it is very unlikely they will get a bite. Yet, if they perform this action while fishing at sea in Dazzle Beach, there’s a good chance they will receive Seaweed. Since there’s no limit regarding how much can be caught, players can collect as much Seaweed as they please with their Fishing Rod. Once adventurers have a desired amount of Seaweed, they can visit the workbench within their home to craft Fiber and Rope. One stack of Seaweed can be crafted into Fiber ×5, and Fiber ×8 can be refined into a single strand of Rope in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
