Traveling through the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley, you have to find and collect a lot of unique materials that will help you advance in the game story. In addition to using some materials to craft furniture and decorations for your home, you can use other materials to complete quests. Often you need quest items only once to advance in the plot of a definite character. But this rule doesn’t work when it comes to Purified Night Shards. This item is needed for many quests and is relatively easy to obtain, although it will take a little time to search. Our guide is here to help you and tell you how to get Purified Night Shards in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Get Purified Night Shards in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To get Purified Night Shards in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will need to craft it. At the start of the game, Merlin will tell you about the history and purpose of this item and even share the crafting recipe:

  • 5 Night Shards
  • 1 Dream Shard

The crafting process will not take you much time, but the collection of materials, on the contrary, may take some time.

To get Night Shards, you need to find and destroy Night Thorns. Fortunately, these plants are in every game location, so finding them is not difficult. In addition, Night Thorns respawn every night, so you are unlikely to run into a shortage of this item at least once. For each destroyed Night Thorns, you will get 1-2 Night Shards, so be patient and farm more.

At the same time, Dream Shard is easier to get but harder to find. Look for small glowing spots in the middle of the night. These spots are at each location, and these respawn every other day, like the Night Thorns. True, these spots are much smaller and more difficult to find, but unlike Night Thorns, you must dig with a shovel without spending additional resources to get valuable material.

Once you’ve got everything you need, go to the nearest crafting table. Find Purified Night Shards in the list of recipes and place all the required materials on the workbench. After that, you will receive the item and be able to complete the quest.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
