Making A Ranch Salad In Disney Dreamlight Valley
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

During the “An Important Night at the Restaurant” Friendship Quest with Remy in Disney Dreamlight Valley, the rat chef tasks players with making Ranch Salad, a 5-Star salad recipe. Prior to this meal, Dreamers will have been helping in the kitchen for some time by washing dishes and cooking a few simple recipes. Being a 5-Star dish, the Ranch Salad is undoubtedly one of the more complex recipes of the quest, which might cause a few players to get stumped on the ingredients they need or how to get them. Fortunately, most of the items can be obtained within Remy’s kitchen.

To make the Ranch Salad Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Dreamers will need Lettuce ×1, Tomato ×1, Bell Pepper ×1, Corn ×1, and Onion ×1. Because none of these ingredients are “Any Vegetable,” players must procure the exact item since no substitutes will work.

Every ingredient for Ranch Salad in Disney Dreamlight Valley should be available in Remy’s cooking parlor. However, suppose the required items are not available in the kitchen. In that case, players can get the ingredients from the following locations via purchasable Seeds or Vegetables at Goofy’s Stalls:

  • Lettuce – Peaceful Meadow
  • Tomato – Dazzle Beach
  • Bell Pepper – Forest of Valor
  • Corn – Dazzle Beach
  • Onion – Forest of Valor

These three areas become available relatively early on during one’s playthrough, so players should not have trouble procuring the ingredients they need from these areas. Regardless of where fans get their required items, once the Ranch Salad has been made in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Remy will give Dreamers the final task of cooking his signature dish — Ratatouille.

To make Ratatouille, players will need Tomato ×1, Eggplant ×1, Zucchini ×1, Onion ×1, and Any Spice ×1, such as Basil or Ginger. Cooking this final dish will prompt Remy to agree to join the Village of Dreamlight Valley. Before the rat chef is able to move in formally, Dreamers must pay Scrooge McDuck a few thousand Star Coins to build Remy’s home. Once this has been done, the “An Important Night at the Restaurant” Friendship Quest will be complete, and players will have a new friend living in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
