One of the most exciting things about Disney Dreamlight Valley is exploring the area to visit with your favorite Disney/Pixar characters. It’s not just the princesses that get attention, though. Many Dreamers are eager to meet up with other characters from beloved films like Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. However, like several others, he isn’t just waiting for you in the Valley. Instead, you have to unlock Prince Eric in Disney Dreamlight Valley if you want to meet with his character. We’ll show you the steps you need to take to achieve this.
How to Unlock Prince Eric in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Many players are excited to unlock their favorite princesses or hang out with fun characters like Remy and WALL-E. However, if you want access to these characters, in many characters, you must unlock them beforehand. In Disney Dreamlight Valley, Prince Eric is a character you can only unlock by following the questline of another character.
Surprisingly, it’s not just Ariel. At least, not in the beginning. Instead, it’s another character from the film who you must interact with first to access Eric: Ursula.
Ursula isn’t available right away either, but she is necessary to get Eric in Disney Dreamlight Valley. So, you first want to gain access to Dazzle Beach as Ursula is locked away in a cave prison. To free her, follow along with Merlin’s “With Great Power” quest, as at the end, you can free Ursula.
Once she’s free, she obviously cannot follow you around like other characters. Instead, you can find her in various locations around the Valley. Search around different bodies of water like ponds for her.
You want to keep returning to her because you must reach Friendship Level 10 with Ursula to get Eric in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Besides that, you should also progress in Ariel’s questline, reaching Friendship Level 10 with her since she’ll eventually intertwine with Eric.
Also, you must have the following areas unlocked to get the quest for Eric:
- Forest of Valor (costs 3,000 Dreamlight)
- Forgotten Lands (costs 15,000 Dreamlight)
- Frosted Heights (costs 10,000 Dreamlight)
