The United States has been facing various aggressive tactics from the federal government, which has resulted in the devastating deaths of several people. Unfortunately, these same tactics are being used on various citizens who really have nothing to do with the real matter at hand. In Minneapolis, Minnesota, one woman detailed her exact experience after being detained by ICE for several hours.

What’s even worse is that, according to her story, she was attacked by an agent’s vehicle, which was then used against her in a story that tells of her attacking them instead. Fortunately, she is safe at home and able to share exactly what she witnessed while being detained.

The above video was posted to the TikTok account @some.call.me.lizzie, which is owned by a woman named Lizzie who, according to her biography, is “capital hating, relationship anarchist. not liberal. not conservative. a liberationist.” This particular video exemplifies just that, as she details being detained by ICE only hours earlier.

She explains that she was with a friend when, suddenly, her car was boxed in by several ICE agents, so she couldn’t escape. The vehicle that was directly behind her allegedly ran into the rear of her car, which is what the agents reportedly used as their cause for detainment. However, before pulling the two of them from the car, the car’s windows were shattered.

She explains that after being detained and processed in the Whipple Building, the agency then threw the two of them out on the cold streets of Minneapolis, where a group called Safe Haven was waiting to pick them up. According to Lizzie, this is a normal practice, and the current weather makes it so that it is more difficult to survive outside in harsh weather.

Fortunately, before being detained, Lizzie had allegedly thrown her phone to a stranger in the crowd to avoid it being taken by agents. Safe Haven was able to provide her with a burner phone for this very reason, which she was able to safely use.

Commenters from all over gathered in the comments to share just how disappointed they were with the state of things in the country. Several people even said that she should pursue legal action, saying, “Call an attorney immediately and sue, nothing they did was legal.” Unfortunately, things aren’t that simple when it comes to the federal government.

A different comment even shares that a friend of theirs had recorded the moment that Lizzie was detained, saying, “Omg this happened outside my friend’s house, she was on her front porch recording everything!! 😭 I’m really glad you’re home now.” Considering all the terrible things these agents are doing, it really is a miracle that she was able to safely make it home.
