Fans of LEGO and Fortnite were jumping in their seats when the collaboration between the two was announced. Now that its finally here, players have had a chance to dive in and enjoy all of the LEGO Fortnite goodness that the game has to offer. It’s a bit different from the base game, with the gameplay resembling Minecraft more than anything. However, that doesn’t mean that everything in the game, like whether or not LEGO Fortnite gives you Battle Pass XP, is different.

You can definitely earn Battle Pass XP in LEGO Fortnite. While it isn’t plainly shown as you’re playing through the game, it was shown for us at the end of our experience once we exited the world. It’s possible that it isn’t plain to notice so as not to break the immersion of a LEGO game. Of course, it’s still attached to its battle royale companion, so it’s a good thing that all of the XP gained carries over.

What’s also unclear is exactly what the conversion rate of XP earned from LEGO Fortnite is. We know that you can earn XP and gain levels, but we don’t know at what rate in comparison to the battle royale version. This is a great revelation for players who would rather not dive into the action aspect of Fortnite at all. LEGO Fortnite gives players a different alternative that still credits them with playing the game at all. Hopefully, this will bring even more players to the game since it offers a completely new and different experience.
