Among the many things, a big multiplayer game like Overwatch 2 must-have is a good anti-cheat system. The whole point of the game is to create a platform where players can compete with each other and the players with better skill win. The anti-cheat system of games like Overwatch 2 that have the potential to become a place to hold many big tournaments with hefty rewards, must be much better than an online game that is only made for fun. So if you want to know whether Overwatch 2 has anti-cheat or not, then you’ve come to the right place.

There is no denying that cheating will ruin the experience for other players. When you play against a player and a group of players who illegally have a higher advantage over you, you will be disappointed and therefore won’t like to play that game again. This is where studios behind video games like Overwatch 2 try their best to make an anti-cheat system that would prevent players from cheating.

The short answer to whether Overwatch 2 has an anti-cheat system or not is yes. Overwatch 2 does have an anti-cheat system that prevents players to cheat and have unfair advantages over other players.

On the other hand, Overwatch 2 discourages players who tend to cheat. When a player creates an account to play Overwatch 2 they must use a phone number. This means that once the game identifies the players who cheated will be banned from the game and to use the game they must create a whole new account based on a different phone number.

It is also worth mentioning that Overwatch 2 also records audio logs that players speak during the game. This way they can identify players to tend to create toxic environments and warn them before banning their accounts.

Overwatch 2 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
