This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Despite the massive hype, Stellar Blade is quite a controversial game. If you spend a decent amount of time on social media, you may already stumble upon various controversies surrounding this game. The “Hard R” and Bunny Suit dramas are the most popular topics, and things get even more heated when people claim that there are censorships in Stellar Blade. Before any of you get angry over these issues, it would be best to understand the whole situation.

There are two major talking points when people speak about censorship in Stellar Blade, but the Hard R is arguably the more prominent one. This drama started when a screenshot of the word ‘Hard’ in graffiti beside the R shop sign spread on X.

Some people claimed that the Hard R might be interpreted as a reference to the complete spelling of the n-word. The community seemed to be split. One side argued that the developer came from South Korea, so they wouldn’t be that familiar with the racist word. Others stated that the developer was still responsible for ensuring that no such problematic content could be found in their game.

In the end, the developer patched this issue during an update. The graffiti no longer spells ‘Hard’ and is replaced by the word ‘Crime’ with a blue color.

The second Stellar Blade controversy is about the Bunny Suit censorship. A player shared an image comparing two versions of the Holiday Rabbit suit. The post claimed that the Day-1 patch update made the outfit more modest. Initially, it generously showed Eve’s chest, but the update added black laces to cover her up.

However, others reported that they had seen the outfit before the update, and they saw no changes. One YouTuber even offered proof showing that the black laces existed even before the Day-1 patch.

Unlike the Hard R controversy, there is no clear resolution to the Bunny Suit censorship in Stellar Blade. The more revealing outfit could be an alternate version of the Holiday Rabbit suit, but nobody could be sure.
