Nexon has yet to announce the release date for The First Descendant, its latest cooperative looter shooter. Thankfully, players on consoles and PCs can get a taste of the game through the Open Beta test. Still, one question lingers among fans. Is it worth it to progress far in The First Descendant Open Beta, and will it carry over to the full game?
The First Descendant: Will the Open Beta Progress Be Reset?

Unfortunately, Nexon has confirmed that The First Descendant Open Beta progress will be reset for the full release and cannot be carried over. This information has been relayed through the game’s Steam News page as well on its official website’s Open Beta news page.
All game data from the Crossplay Open Beta will be reset.

Nevertheless, Nexon has promised that Beta participants will be able to redeem bonus content once the game launches sometime in the fourth quarter of 2023. These Beta-exclusive items range from emote and character skins to a backpack trophy. See the list of The First Descendant Open Beta progress items in the table below. Do note that you can only redeem the bonuses if you use the same account for the Beta period and the full game!

The First Descendant Crossplay Open Beta will be playable from September 19, 2023, through September 25, 2023. During the Open Beta period, players are able to try 11 base characters and two Ultimate characters. Along with three play areas, more than 50 unique weapons, and 300 Skill and Ultimate Modules to enhance your characters.
