Before tuning in to the final half of season 3 of Netflix’s The Witcher, the one thing on every fan’s mind is if there’s a post-credits scene. The Witcher season 3, vol. 2 features the end of Henry Cavill as the lead character, Geralt of Rivia. Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill as Geralt in season 4. The first half of the season gives fans many new questions about the series’ fate post-Cavill. Many wonder if the second half of the season will be a fitting end of Cavill’s time as Geralt. Fans also want to know if the second half sets the stage for Hemsworth to take the torch.
Is There A Post-Credits Scene in The Witcher Season 3, Vol. 2 Finale?
Spoilers for the end of The Witcher Season 3, Vol. 2.
The final episode of The Witcher season 3 is called The Cost of Chaos and ends with the lead characters in a peculiar spot. While the finale had Yennefer heal Geralt in Brokilon, the titular witcher is separated from Ciri. Believing her to be with her father, Emhyr, Geralt sets out to rescue her with his allies. In actuality, Ciri meets up with a bandit group known as the Rats.
There are no post-credit scenes in The Witcher season 3 finale. The final scene with Cavill as Geralt is one last brawl with some enemies in the forest and walking away with Jaskier to save Ciri. In a lot of ways, it’s a fitting way for Cavill to leave the character. Cavill ends his tenure as Geralt by setting out on another mission to save his adopted daughter.
The last episode sets up that Geralt and Cirir will, once again, start season 4 separately. Season 4 will delve into Ciri’s adventures with the Rats as depicted in the novels. The final episode doesn’t set up anything to possibly suggest the cast switch up when Hemsworth comes in to take over the role.
