Donald Trump isn’t mincing words when it comes to the British royal family and the latest recipient of his unfiltered opinion is Kate Middleton. The former President of the United States has shown his interest in the affairs of the British royal family in recent times. While that isn’t unusual, the open condemnation of his least favorite royals amid his presidential aspirations is a bold move only a few could dare. Barely weeks after the climax of his feud with Prince Harry, Donald Trump is weighing in on another royal scandal, this time, with a more forgiving undertone.
Donald Trump Makes weighs in on Kate Middleton’s Photoshop Controversy
During a sitdown with Nigel Farage on GB News, on Tuesday night, Donald Trump shared his take on the furor surrounding Kate Middleton’s photo scandal. According to him, the Princess of Wales only did what everybody else was doing by doctoring her photo. Hence, he deemed the uproar it stirred as uncalled for. Trump divulged,
“That shouldn’t be a big deal because everybody doctors.”
Trump went on to give instances of movie stars, who often look different in real life than in their photos thanks to photo editing. Going further, Donald Trump admitted he had a good look at Kate Middleton’s family photo which spurred the photoshop controversy. In his opinion, all she did was “a very minor doctoring.” Offering his final verdict on the Photoshop scandal, the presidential aspirant voiced,
“I looked at that actually and it was a very minor doctoring, I don’t understand why there could be such a howl over that.”
Donald Trump also noted that Kate Middleton was going through a rough patch at the moment, but he was positive of her return in due time. The conversation also stirred towards other royals, acknowledging that the family was going through a rough period with King Charles’ cancer diagnosis and Kate Middleton’s health woes.
Trump Takes Another Dig At Prince Harry
Donald Trump described himself as a big fan of the royal family but did not hesitate to take a dig at Prince Harry and his possible deportation if proven he lied about his past drug use in his visa application.
Last month, the former president in an interview with Daily Express warned that he would come down hard on Prince Harry if voted in as president. His argument centered around the Prince’s public admission to substance abuse in his memoir, Spare.
Trump claimed Joe Biden’s administration was being “too gracious to him after what he has done.” He also tagged Prince Harry’s actions so far as a betrayal of Queen Elizabeth II, deeming it unforgivable. Donald Trump’s verdict on the prince’s scandal confirms Harry isn’t exactly his favorite royal, but Kate Middleton just might have a shot.
