Dragon’s Dogma 2 made it into players’ hands recently and Capcom is already trying to find out if fans are interested in DLC expansions. The Japanese company is changing things up compared to how they are typically done in the industry. Instead of blindly guessing whether there’s any interest, Capcom has launched a survey to gauge interest. The company did the same for Darkstalkers not too long ago. The same is being done for Dragon’s Dogma 2, as there is a survey you can fill out right now that will tell Capcom what you think about future DLC expansions.
The sequel came out over a decade after the original to rejoicing fans, and great reviews, but also a lot of valid criticism over Capcom’s approach to microtransactions. It shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone that a game of this scale will get more content down the road, but what should interest most is that they have a say in the matter this time.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Survey is For DLC & the Game’s Quality As Well
Financial success aside, Dragon’s Dogma 2 has been setting records on Steam, but at the same time, it’s getting review-bombed because of its technical issues and additional microtransactions on offer. The new survey will not only let players give Capcom an idea of what kind of DLC will be most popular for Dragon’s Dogma 2 but also give feedback about what they did or did not like about the game.
The survey asks questions like how likely you are to recommend the game to a friend, and how much you would rate it overall after your experience. You can go into detail and explain what you enjoyed about the game and which parts of Dragon’s Dogma 2 disappointed you.
Capcom is not only trying to find out how much interest there is in DLC but also how much money people are willing to pay for it as well. This expansion will likely be content that will expand the narrative or the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 in a significant way, not just more cosmetics. If you’ve played the original game, imagining something akin to Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen wouldn’t be too far off the mark.
Hopefully, Capcom can rectify the issues plaguing Dragon’s Dogma 2 through the survey and also work on a worthwhile DLC expansion that will make up for the game’s less-than-ideal launch.
