Real-time strategy games have been in an interesting foothold for the last few years. With releases and titles likeย Humankindย andย Crusader Kings 3. These games all playmate themselves on their shared world dynamic, which invites competition between different users and play styles. While many of the games recently released in the genre pride themselves on being unique, one such game transforms the genre into something special. Blending real-time and turn-based strategy stylized Dune: Spice Wars in a unique way. After being announced for PC just over a month ago, developer Shiro Games have released some more information. Detailing most of the title’s info and gameplay, Shiro Games posted a brand new FAQ to their Steam page. Updating prospective players and fans,ย Dune: Spice Warsย will be releasing in early access later this year but without multiplayer or campaign.

Why is Dune: Spice Wars Releasing Without Multiplayer Or Campaign?
While the news may shock some fans, the other information is vital to note. While the team plans for more content to be released in the future, their idea for setting the base mechanics first is important. Having a stable and balanced base game is extremely important to maintaining a healthy competitive game. When it comes to an RTS game, being able to balance the game before the official release is important. Aside from that, the gameplay showcased so far is intriguing. With 4 houses to play, as with a fifth coming after launch, there’s plenty of content to explore. As the terrain and map move effortlessly to the inputs of the player, Dune: Spice Wars is shaping up to be a very beautiful-looking game. With animated units crossing and battling amidst the deserts, conditions are all rendered spectacularly.
