The Pokémon Company International and Pokémon UNITE have officially released the teaser trailer for the next upcoming playable character, Duraludon, who will be available in Pokémon UNITE come March 14, following the end of the Pokémon Day 2022 celebrations. The trailer goes over the moves and abilities of the Alloy Pokémon, a Steel/Dragon-type introduced in Generation 8, who will be a Ranged Attacker with the signature move, Laser Focus.

Duraludon Character Spotlight | Pokémon UNITE

Duraludon was first revealed to be coming to Pokémon Unite following the Pokémon Presents held on February 27, 2022, though little information was given about it at the time. We can now confirm that Duraludon will be arriving in Pokémon UNITE on March 14. Duraludon will inflict tons of damage to neutral Pokémon and opponents with its ranged Steel and Dragon-type attacks.

With the addition of Duraludon, Pokémon UNITE will now have a total of 33 playable characters, following the introduction of the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa as part of the Pokémon Day in-game celebration, which is still ongoing.

The current list of playable fighters in Pokémon UNITE, not including Duraludon, consists of Sylveon, Mamoswine, Blastoise, Blissey, Gardevoir, Zeraora, Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Crustyle, Greninja, Eldegoss, Talonflame, Lucario, Venusaur, Mr. Mine, Slowbro, Absol, Machamp, Wigglytuff, Alolan Ninetails, Cramorant, Gengar, Carchomp, Cinderace,  Decidueye, Tsarenna, Dragonite, Treveant, Aegislash, and Hoopa.

While waiting for the arrival of Duraludon, players can still enjoy the in-game Pokémon Day festivities, which end officially with Duraludon’s arrival on March 14. Players can immediately try out the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa and earn its Unite license by cooking 50 Donuts in the Kitchen, earning materials by meeting certain conditions in battle. In addition, a log-in event is happening in which players can receive a Pokémon Day hat and t-shirt in-game until March 14, 2022.
