After so many seasons, new ground is bound to be broken, especially for a long-running series like Dancing with the Stars. DWTS season 31 announced its cast, including the first drag queen with Rupaul’s Drag Race star Shangela Pierce. That is not the only reason this will be a different outing as it is the first season where it will be on Disney Plus and a dancer from a competitor network with Wayne Brady from CBS’ Let’s Make a Deal. The announcement was made by Good Morning America.

Drag Race star Shangela makes a huge step by coming on DWTS season 31. The contestant on three seasons of the reality drag queen series will dance with Russian dancer Gleb Savchenko. Shangela is also an actor and performing D.J. They will be accompanied by a wide range of other dancers from reality TV stars, actors, musicians, and more.
