Considering it’s the season for the undead and nearly dead, it should come as no surprise that video game companies are trying to celebrate Halloween in style. Dying Light developer Techland is marking Halloween with a special video message, which you can watch below.

It’s more treat than trick during the game, with Techland offering “cool digital goodies” to those who share the best stories about surviving through the night in one of Dying Light’s safe zones.

“If once you’re done partying you still feel like having a bit of a fright this Halloween season, we’ve got the perfect challenge for you,” community manager Michał Napora commented in a press release. “In the evening, fire up the game on Hard Mode, turn off all the lights in your room, put on some headphones and see how long you can survive at night without entering the safe zones. Then share your stories on our official social media channels with #GoodNightGoodFright. We’ll give away some cool digital goodies to the best entries next week.”

Dying Light is 50% off on Steam at the moment, and will be “during the week of Halloween”. Better get it now before it goes back up to its regular price! Stay tuned for details!
