Techland announced that they will be increasing the price for “Dying Light: The Following” by $10. This announcement comes after the developer has realized how large their expansion has become.
“We now are moving into the polishing period,” Techland said in a press release. “Looking at it, it’s clear how big the expansion pack has grown – it could be a stand-alone title, but since it would mean a launch delay, we decided against it.” The full statement can be found below:

The developer assured that fans who already own the season pass will still receive the expansion for free, and gamers who purchase the pass before December 8 will still be able to pay the lower price. However, starting December 8, the season pass will cost $30 and the DLC alone will sell for $20 rather than $15. “We didn’t want this to come as a surprise to you, so we’re announcing it in advance,” Techland said.
“Dying Light: The Following” promises new game mechanics, a new story and a new map that is just as big as in the original game. With the expansion also comes vehicles in the form of all-terrain dirt buggies. Techland said that they will be sharing more exciting things soon.
“The Following” is scheduled for release in 2016.
