In a period where post-apocalyptic zombie titles became the norm, Dying Light seriously set itself apart with some incredible hack n’ slash, zombie-jibbing, parkour gameplay that kept on getting better. After years of updates, Dying Light will be free on the Epic Games Store.
It was reported today by a highly reliable data miner, billbil-kun, on Twitter that Dying Light The Following – Enhanced Edition will be free for the taking on the Epic Games Store PC Marketplace from April 6 to April 13.
The zombie hack n’ slash parkour title was released back in 2016 and followed up with an expansive DLC, The Following. It sounds too good to be true, but if it is, Dying Light The Following – Enhanced Edition will replace Tunche and The Silent Age from the Epic Games Store.
Dying Light cemented itself as one of the most innovative zombie games, and its reputation grew from there with the release of Dying Light 2, which truly improves upon the original. But there’s still loads of undiscovered content and in-game secrets that you might have missed out on. But Dying Light is free on the Epic Games Store, so dive into Harran once again.
For now, the store’s latest free titles include World of Warships – Starter Pack and Ishizuchi, which you can still claim for free within the next few hours.
Last year, the Epic Games Store gave away almost 100 free titles, which could easily amount to over $2000. And many users benefitted from these freebies. Around 700 million free copies were downloaded, according to Epic.
So, what do you think of Dying Light being free on the Epic Store? If you’ve already played it, would you check out Dying Light once again? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Stay tuned for more updates on the NerdStash.
