Ubisoft’s Marc-Alexis Cote unveiled a new cinematic trailer for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate at E3. In the trailer we get a better look at our protagonist Jacob Frye fully decked out in assassin gear. The game takes place in 1868 London, the end of the industrial revolution. It looks to center around cockney gang warfare a la Peaky Blinders.
The trailer was action-packed, featuring a thrilling carriage chase and brutal bar fight. Ubisoft confirmed that players will be able to switch between two twin assassins, Jacob and Evie Frye. Although a gameplay demo wasn’t shown, one will be available to play on the showroom floor. For those who didn’t make it to E3 Ubisoft is holding gameplay events in their Uplay lounge and in seven cities across Europe and Australia.

It is said that the game map will be 30 percent larger than previous playable city Paris. Playable districts will be Westminster, the Strand, City of London, Whitechapel, Southwark, and Lambeth. While exploring these areas you may run into famous historical figures such as Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin. Earlier footage revealed weapons such as brass knuckles, cane swords, and compact revolvers.
The game releases October 23, 2015 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version is slated for a Q3/Q4 launch. The game will have five editions available: Standard Edition, The Rooks Edition, The Gold Edition, Charing Cross Edition, and if you want all the perks, Big Ben Edition.

Hopefully more on Syndicate is yet to come over the course of the week. Another hopeful thought: that it doesn’t repeat the same mistakes of Assassin’s Creed Unity.
