Straight out of Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event, we have a brand new trailer for the newly announced Metroid Prime: Federation Force.

In what seems to be a running theme for Nintendo this year, the focus is on Co-Op gameplay. You and up to three others can take on Co-Op missions within the Metroid Prime universe. The trailer shows off the player and their three colour-coded companions taking on large alien monsters and soldiers.

Apart from those small snippets of gameplay, the rest of the trailer is fairly light on details. This is probably because the second half of the trailer focuses on an entirely different game: Metroid Prime: Blast Ball. This is another Co-Op focused game, which allows for three on three matches of Blast Ball. It basically looks like soccer on steroids as you use your Arm Cannon to get an oversized ball into the opposing teams goal.

Judging from the reaction to the trailer on YouTube, Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Blast Ball are not the games that fans have been waiting for. There is no word yet on what the single player options will be, or any other details on the plot or additional gameplay elements.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Blast Ball will come together as a package and will be released on Nintendo 3DS in 2016.
