So moments ago I posted up an article about Nintendo and how they are trying to transform the company, like Mario has over the past 30 years as this beloved character gets old.
The idea behind the Super Mario Maker tool was to make making the game an easier task than ever before, it got so good and efficient in fact that they decide to actually release it as a game.
No longer will the maps and levels be drawn up by hand and handed off to an engineer to build it from paper. All later edits that used to be added to the game used to have to be edited on tracing paper, then tested after and built into the game.
Now with this Super Mario Maker tool the effects are seen straight away.
This makes things that have always been impossible to do as easy as doing it, wanna see a Goomba under the sea, you got it, what will this Goomba do whilst it’s in the sea? Just swim around trying to cause you harm, If you can think it, then you can do it, that was the feel Nintendo was trying to get at.
Also touching on Amiibo’s once again, If Mario finds a mystery mushroom and you use an Amiibo you will turn into that character, showing us in the demo Mario as a Wii fit trainer.
Not only is this a cool addition to the game it also pathed the way for a seriously over sized 8 bit Mario Amiibo.
