One of the most popular things to do to most forms of media since as long as stories have been told it’s to take the base property and to make funny and cute versions of it, often by shrinking them down into a miniature or “Chibi” form and for many years now the primary group creating such games has been Traveller’s Tales, the people behind the LEGO games. If a new IP gets popular enough to become a cultural phenomenon there is a very high chance that it will be turned into a LEGO video game.
Star Wars has already received this treatment several times and now The Force Awakens has received this treatment. After showing us a nice trailer highlighting the well-known LEGO game humor in The Force Awakens Sony hit us with a release date. Well, sort of. What they actually said was that LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available for download right now, at least in demo form and the full retail version will become available in two weeks on its original release date of June 28th.
