Microsoft just announced some hot new features coming to Xbox Live as well as Minecraft they are “whoa.”
Coming this fall a ton of new features will be coming be coming to Xbox Live including background music. That’s right, now you will be able to listen you your favorite music while you play on Xbox. Language Region Independence was also announce which will allow you to select your language of choice regardless of where you live in the world. Microsoft also introduced Clubs, Looking for Group and Arena coming to Xbox Live.
Clubs is an area where you will be able to create communities and meet people you can always go back to in titles that you like to play. Whether it’s finding Minecraft creators or Division agents play with in Los Angeles, you can do it in Clubs.
Looking for Group is described as a wanted ad for Xbox Live. It is the simplest way to find other gamers with a shared goal in mind.
Arena is a new type of tournament platform designed for every type of gamer, whether it be a seasoned veteran or a casual gamer. Here you will be able to discover, register and compete all in the same place either solo or with friends. In addition to Microsoft Studios other companies like Daybreak, HiRez and Wargaming will also be providing tournament play. EA will also be bringing some of its biggest titles.

Some big Minecraft news was announced as well, such as iOS, Android and Windows 1o now all being available for cross platform play. Dedicated Servers are also coming to Minecraft so you can host your own world that friends can play in, even when you are not online. The addition of Realms lets you play with your friends how you want, when you want. The gameplay trailer shows had three separate devices all playing together, the Microsoft Surface, iPad and Oculus Rift.
