Huge news from EA today at the start of their conference with the announcement of Titanfall 2, which is slated to release on October 28th, 2016.
Some of the biggest news here is that Titanfall 2 is no longer exclusive to just Xbox, with PS4 now joining the fray, along with PC. In addition to more platforms being available for Titanfall 2, the game will also introduce a full single player campaign which can be played offline. If you remember the first Titanfall, the game’s “campaign” could only be played online in a multiplayer setting. According to the trailer it appears that the Titan is linked to rifleman Jack Cooper, which seems to be the individual which the campaign will be played through with. It sounds like the Titan in the trailer is being voiced by Peter Cullen, who also provides his voice for Optimus Prime. The campaign is said to explore the bond between man and machine.

Titanfall 2 will have six new Titans, more customization options for multiplayer, a grappling hook device for reeling in enemies, new pilot abilities and a deep progression system. It also appears in the trailer that the Titan was able to assist his pilot by throwing him across the map. The multiplayer trailer showed some brand new weapons and types of grenades. A teleporter style device was seen at one point along with a grenade that attracted several enemies to where it landed rendering them helpless as they were being shot.
