Did you take a trip to hell with the recent release of Doom this past year? Well, it’s time to go back for a more personal experience. Doom VFR was just announced by Bethesda at the E3 conference. Doom was released in 2016 and is the first major installment since Doom 3 in 2004. Doom received largely positive reviews and one of our own here at The Nerd Stash reviewed it as well.

The official Doom website described the game perfectly,

There is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell’s raging demon hordes. Combine your arsenal of futuristic and iconic guns, upgrades, movement and an advanced melee system to knock-down, slash, stomp, crush, and blow apart demons in creative and violent ways.

The Doom VFR trailer showed plenty of intense combat plus environment interaction and what appeared to be some type of customization. Perhaps Doom Snap Map will also be compatible with Doom VFR, allowing the user to have a full in-depth creative experience. If you enjoyed your trip into hell back in 2016, you’re about to get a much more personal experience. Give em hell soldier.

Did you catch the Doom VFR trailer? If so, what did you think? Is VR the future of gaming or will it be a passing fad? Be sure to let us know in the comment below and check back for our ongoing coverage of E3.
