During the Xbox briefing at E3 today, the company announced the release of Forza Motorsport 7, coming October 3, 2017. The game will be released on Xbox One first, but will also be released on Xbox One X (aka Xbox Scorpio). On the next gen console, there’ll obviously be some much-improved graphics to look at.
The game will run at 4k resolution and a whopping 60 FPS. As like the other Forza games in the franchise, there will be a high level of detail within the game. It was even confirmed that there’ll be over 700 playable cars. That’s a whole lot of cars to be collected and raced.
Forza Motorsport 7 follows the release of Forza Horizon 3 last year and Forza Motorsport 6 back in 2015, a game which earned a 9.0 on IGN. Players can expect similar, but more enhanced, quality from the next installment of the popular racing franchise. The release of this next installment will run parallel with the release of Sony’s Gran Turismo Sport. So Xbox won’t be the only console with a new racing game coming later this year.
