Fans of the Marvel universe have been craving a superhero game that we could really sink our teeth into, and it looks like Insomniac might have finally given us exactly what we have been asking for. Sony closed their E3 2017 conference with a look at some gameplay from the now officially named Spider-man.
The gameplay featured showed Spidey in an all-new get up featuring a white spider emblem splashed across his chest. From there, he swung around, webbed up baddies, and took total advantage of his environment. Aside from the web-slinging, we also got quite a look at the actual combat in the game and it looks awesome. After that, Spider-man takes off in an attempt to keep a helicopter from destroying the city. Insomniac ended their trailer with a bit of a tease by throwing Miles Morales in at the end.
For long time fans of the older Spider-man games, Insomniac’s take on the game looks fresh and new while still holding onto the things we loved so much about the earlier games. While an official release date was not announced, fans can expect the PlayStation 4 exclusive to release sometime next year. While you wait for Spider-man to release, at least we have Spider-man: Homecoming to look forward to in the meantime.
