It’s hard to play an online game without cheaters. The developers are working hard to fight the cheating software, which costs them a lot of money and time. A good anti-cheat system is a must for an AAA game; it’s even more critical if we’re talking about EA. The company has worked with many independent developers and 3rd party anti-cheat software so far, some of which did great. Now, the company is currently working to make the matches even fairer. EA launches its own kernel-level anti-cheat system, and we expect much better cheater-catching software. EA takes that anti-cheat step to make FIFA 23 more acceptable, but the new software won’t be restricted with this game.
EA Develops a Kernel-Level Anti-Cheat For FIFA 23
Everything on the user side will be the same, but the new software solution changes things in the back end. The new anti-cheat will work more excellent because it will be developed by EA, and it will be fully compatible with the game. This is a more expensive solution for the company, but we should call that good news.
The only benefit isn’t the software’s stabilization; it also shows more respect for your privacy. Previously, the company had been using 3rd party software, collecting some of your information, like browser history. The company’s kernel-level solution doesn’t need that information and relieves the users. We can count that as a plus.
EA will use the new technology for the first time on FIFA 23, but it won’t be exclusive to that game. We will see the new anti-cheat system in the future, which will be improved with time. Kernel-level software is more compatible with the game engine that the studio uses. We will see the true power of the new software with the debut of the studio’s FPS games. We’re also keeping our eyes open to catch the updates for FIFA 23; the official website gives all the information.
What do you think about EA’s anti-cheating system? Is it enough?
