Black Ops 6 Zombies feels like the safe house that’s still part of the Call of Duty’s joy despite all the issues that co-exist in Warzone. The round-based Zombies has gathered us in an adventure with the retired Requiem crew + Maya, and we were teased before Black Ops 6‘s release that Edward Richtofen is going to play a big role in Zombies this year with the Liberty Falls trailer. It’s disappointing not to get the doctor involved after 4 maps, but it seems like good news is coming.
The refreshing word comes from a fan who has met Nolan North in his recent appearance at the Lexington Comic & Toy Con. Nolan North is the voice behind Edward Richtofen, and he’s been playing the different versions of the doctor since Call of Duty: World At War, hence why he’s so popular among fans. To be honest, he’s the last OG Zombies voice we have left since Julie Nathanson, AKA Samantha Maxis has seemingly cut ties with BO6 Zombies due to the SAG AFTRA strike.
According to this Outrageous_Turnip_70 on Reddit, they’ve met with Richtofen’s voice actor at the event, and he has apparently said that we’re “going to like the next few updates to Zombies.” That’s big news coming from Nolan North, as he had done this before last year as well by teasing his return for the role in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
What Does Edward Richtofen’s Voice Actor’s Comment Mean For The Future of Black Ops 6 Zombies?

There are two things to consider if Nolan North is positive about the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 updates, one of which is that he’s probably not leaving the project. Just like some of the other voice actors like Cantelle Barry, the voice behind Maya, Nolan North is still around for the Zombies’ voice acting and that’s inspiring. No AI Richtofen to say the least.
The other critical point to note here is that he might be teasing a bigger role that the character has in the story. We know that the next Black Ops 6 Zombies map that’s rumored to release in Season 3 is in Edward Richtofen’s mansion, and that’s the last time we saw the character in the flesh before getting sucked into the Dark Aether.
However, people like Doctor Panos on Liberty Falls did show up from inside the Dark Aether, meaning that it’s way more than possible for Richtofen to interact with us on this map, even if he’s trapped in that dimension. If that’s happening, and if the story is finally getting some deep layers beyond just some Chaos Zombies references and the Sentinel Artifact, that could draw the attention of a lot of OG fans who were disappointed when they saw no sign of Richtofen in the recent BO6‘s Zombies maps.
