With the newest installment into the soulsborne subgenre, Elden Ring gives players a whole new environment to explore at their own leisure and uncover multiple secrets. Multiple characters in Elden Ring will also have their own questlines that fans can follow if they want to understand more of the lore and obtain exclusive gear. For example, one character, Diallos, is a noble who first needs help finding one of his lost maids named Lanya, ultimately finding out she was killed. So for fans who want to help Diallos seek his revenge, here is how to complete the Diallos’ side quest.
How to Complete Diallos’ Quest in Elden Ring
First Encounter for Diallos’ Quest
Fans can find Diallos when they first unlock the Roundtable Hold through the site of grace. He will be standing near one of the statues in black and white armor with traces of red. This is where he will request fans first to find Lanya, his childhood friend.
Lanya Location
After the first discussion, gamers can find Diallos crying over Lanya’s dead body at Academy Gate Town. This is when Diallos will inform players that the Recusants had killed Lanya and that he will pay back this treachery in blood.
Return to Roundtable Hold to talk to Diallos again. Diallos will tell players that he was actually invited to join the Recusants, and he now has the whereabouts of their secret base. The next part of Diallos’ quest can be completed on Mount Gelmier, inside Volcano Manor.
Volcano Manor
Once gamers can reach Volcano Manor, Diallos can be found in the back corner of one of the rooms with a fireplace. This is where Diallos admits that he has given up on his revenge plans and that Lady Tanith says he is capable of much more.
Lord Rykard Boss Fight
After the second conversation with Diallos, seek counsel with Lord Rykard by speaking to Lady Tanith and selecting the “See the lord” option. Players will then be transported to a cave leading up to the God Devouring Serpent boss fight. Once the snake is defeated, a cutscene will reveal Rykards face under one of the snakeheads. The next phase of the fight will commence after he pulls a sword from the snake’s mouth.
When this phase is over, go back to Diallos and speak to him. Fans will learn that he has already given up on his plans of becoming champion and regrets abandoning his house.
Ending of Diallos’ Quest in Elden Ring
After this, gamers can find Diallos at Jarburg Shack after speaking to Jar-Bairn. Fans will learn that he has abandoned Volcano Manor and is forging his own path. After this encounter, players will have to wait about three or four days before returning to finish the Diallos’ questline.
Return to the Jarburg Shack to find Diallos laying on the ground bleeding out after fending off poachers. Select the “You defended them” option during the dialogue to reassure Diallos that his life was meaningful before his death. Finally, reset the area twice at the nearby site of grace to acquire his full armor set, ending Diallos’ quest.
