These paintings you can come across will depict a certain location on the map you need to find. You will receive a reward when you reach the location where the painting was painted. How To Complete The Flightless Bird Painting Puzzle In Elden Ring
You will find the Flightless Bird painting in the Leyndell Manor on the west side of the Royal Capital. This is the building that players should recognize as the Roundtable Hold. Enter through the front door, walk to the opposite end of the building, and take a right through the doorway. Follow this passage until you reach the end, where you will find the Flightless Bird painting. Interact with it to add it to your inventory. Now that you have activated the painting, you will be able to find the artist in the location depicted in the painting and receive your reward.

The location that the painting is depicting is the northern wall of the Capital Outskirtst, as seen from Dominula, the Windmill Village. Go to the cliffside you can reach from the “Windmill Heights” Site of Grace and find the translucent figure in the location pictured below. Interacting with the figure will cause it to fade away, completing the Flightless Bird Painting puzzle. When the artist fades away, he leaves behind the Fire’s Deadly Sin incantation for you to pick up and use.
