There is an arsenal of powerful and unique weaponry found across the Lands Between in Elden Ring. One of the best weapons to get your hands on is the Nagakiba Katana. This dark blade of a trusted Hunter is both a slashing and piercing katana that gives you the useful Art of War skill known as Piercing Fang that sees you performing a powerful thrust with the long blade. With it in your hand, you can take Shadow of the Erdtree‘s hardest bosses. This guide will show players how and where to get the Nagakiba Katana in Elden Ring.

The Nagakiba Katana is the weapon of choice for the NPC Bloody Finger Hunter Yura, who you can first encounter in Elden Ring‘s first area, Limgrave. The quickest way to get the weapon is to kill Yura, who will drop the sword upon his death. You can first find him under some rubble to the south of Agheel Lake. For those who don’t want to kill him in cold blood, you are also able to get the Nagakiba by completing Yura’s questline. The Nerd Stash has a full guide on how to complete Yura’s questline. Here are the basics:

  1. Talk to Yura after battling Bloody Finger Nerijus north of Agheel Lake
  2. Meet him again at the Academy Main Gate Site of Grace at the Academy of Raya Lucaria
  3. Find the summon sign there to help him against the assassin
  4. Visit the Second Church of Marika in the Altus Plateau

At the Second Church of Marika, you will find Yura dying on the ground and then will get invaded by an NPC named Eleonora. When Yura dies, you will be able to pillage his corpse to get the Nagakiba Katana. If you reach the Mountaintop of the Giants before doing this step at the Second Church of Marika, return to the first location where you met Yura, and you will be able to find the Nagakiba Katana in the location where he stood at.
