The first significant location that you will likely complete is the Stormveil Castle, with the boss at the end of the fortress being the Lord of that that is Golden, Godrick the Grafted. This will cap off the Limgrave area and will likely be the first boss in the game that you will defeat that provides you with a Great Rune. When players finally fall Godrick, they might find themselves not knowing where to go next in the game. Luckily, the open-world nature of the game allows you to go in any direction that you please. What To Do After Defeating Godrick In Elden Ring?
Upon defeating Godrick, there are a few different directions that you can go. Firstly, you will want to return power to the Great Rune that he drops. To do this, you will need to travel to the Divine Tower of Limgrave, which can be accessed from the interior of Stormveil Castle. From the castle’s main gate, head up to the first checkpoint of enemies past the line of ballistas. To the right of this checkpoint is a lion enemy and a passage that leads to the Divine Tower. Get to the top of the tower, and you will be able to restore power to Godrick’s Great Rune. Another route that you can take is to go back through Limgrave and the southern Weeping Pennisula if you haven’t already explored the area. A series of side quests such as Blaidd the Half-Wolf and the Castle Morne rebellion can be explored before continuing your journey to be Elden Lord.

Finally, the most likely place you will want to explore is Liurnia of the Lake region just north of Stormveil Castle. You can take a side path near the bridge north of the Castle or go through the large double doors opposite Godrick’s boss arena. This will take you to the area that you can see in the original gameplay trailer with the mist-laden lake with the Academy of Raya Lucaria in the distance. The next boss with a Great Rune; Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, is at the academy. Along with this Academy, there is an entirely new region to explore, so head out there and make some discoveries.
