Bandai Namco has confirmed that the highly anticipated Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will be getting a gameplay trailer on February 21 at 7 AM PST / 10 AM EST, but its release date may have been leaked as well. According to a reputable leaker with a solid track record, the massive DLC expansion for From Software’s biggest game to date will be raising the bar when it releases on June 21, exactly four months from the time of writing.
FromSoftware’s marketing efforts for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC have been fairly lacking compared to the base game. Since its release in 2022 and confirmation of the DLC in 2023, the studio has been radio silent about Elden Ring and hasn’t even tried to create any interest or hype regarding its upcoming expansion.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Release Date Leaked
The leaked release date for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree comes from Billbil-Kun, a reliable leaker who has confirmed details relating to PlayStation, Xbox, and other releases. But even though they have an impressive track record, we still recommend taking this release date with a healthy helping of salt.
Adding to that, the leaked release date of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree isn’t something the leaker is entirely certain about. But what they do know for a fact is that a Game of the Year Edition of Elden Ring, along with the upcoming DLC, will be launched on June 21 as well. This means the expansion may come out even before then.
As for the pricing of the new GOTY edition of Elden Ring, the leaker believes it will be priced at 79.99 Euros, while the Collector’s Edition will go for 259.99 Euros. The prices in USD are not certain, but when converted, the GOTY edition should be around $90, while the Collector’s Edition should be around $280.
With the trailer on the horizon and the release date being fairly close, it looks like fans won’t have to wait much before jumping back into The Lands Between.
