Elderly California Men Agree to Be Gay for a Parking Spot: ‘Old Man Knows What He Likes and Ain’t About To Compromise’

I’m not gay…but a parking spot is a parking spot

Let’s not beat around the bush: TikTok pranks can often be cringey, in a more or less bad way. But one group of elderly men in California was pranked and took it with pride, gay pride, to be exact, and it made for a goofy and even somewhat wholesome experience. TikToker tyxufrfl06 decided to set up a “Gay Parking Only” sign while dressed as a parking lot attendant conducting an inspection. Walking up to several older strangers, he informed them that they needed to be gay to use their parking spot, to which all of them agreed.

When asked, the first man in the video honestly answers tyxufrfl06 that he isn’t gay, but when informed that it’s a requirement of the parking spot, he quickly switched: “Okay, I’m gay then.” Another California man in the post did a high-pitched ‘gay man impression,’ which was cringey but also just as adorable in a way. The TikTok prankster did ask the men rather adult-rated questions for the bedroom, and they still did their best to give an answer. Whether it was all truthful or not doesn’t matter too much, as many found the prank to be hilarious in the end.

“I think this is staged. But it’s still funny,” remarked a Redditor, with a handful of replies echoing the same thoughts. “Everyone straight until they can’t find a parking spot,” quipped a second. “Old man knows what he likes and ain’t about to compromise,” laughed a third commenter. “I kinda love how little they all cared about being gay if it meant good parking,” added a fourth.

Several people also praised the elderly men for being so open-minded about the joke, as they didn’t come off as unsupportive or intolerant in the slightest. To be fair, California is known to be more tolerant of LGBTQIA+ culture, but that doesn’t make it any less wholesome to see older people being a good sport about the topic.
