An 81-year-old Florida woman was arrested after she did the unthinkable to two young children in her neighborhood. Ada Anderson is facing criminal charges after allegedly spraying her neighbor’s two young daughters, ages 3 and 6, with bear mace. To make matters worse, she also hurled racial slurs at the little girls. The horrifying moment happened as the girls were playing in their own yard and enjoying the summer weather.
According to Fox Orlando, the girls’ mother, April Morant, says that her two daughters were playing in their driveway with bubbles when Ada Anderson approached them and attacked the children with the chemical spray. Bear mace is a dangerous substance used to repel animals and can be toxic if ingested.
According to the arrest report, Anderson walked up to the fence that separates the two properties and let loose with the mace. She also allegedly shouted racial slurs at the family as she did it. When police arrived at the scene, the orange chemical could still be seen on the fence dividing the two homes.
The girls’ mother caught some of the altercation on video, which she showed the police as evidence. In the video, Anderson is seen holding the bear mace as she stands on her porch. In a video from earlier in the day, the elderly Florida woman could be heard using racial slurs.

“I look at my peripheral view, she’s at the gate with what I thought at first — I thought it was a gun, so I was startled — I’m like, gasps, but it was like bear mace,” Morant said. “A big cloud came, so I rushed the kids in like, ‘go in the house, go in the house.’ Then I called the police on her — and then I found out she did it twice, and I didn’t even know it was twice until my daughter let the officer know.”
“Kids being kids actually playing, and this woman pepper sprays them, and calls them names?!?!? I don’t have children, but that woman would have problems in my neighborhood. Children need to be protected from people like that,” one person wrote via Facebook.
“Lock her up,” said another.
“That old lady is a threat to that family & dangerous to be around!” a third comment read.
Sadly, the two little Florida girls will have a scary memory of the neighbor who tried to harm them when they were innocently playing in their yard and trying to make summertime memories.
